Trained and certified primarily in reconstruction, congenital anomalies and burns, FCPS plastic surgeons in Pakistan, are playing with the patients’ hymens by attempting hymenoplasty, by any means. Patients are attracted via “Google Ads”. Hymenoplasty is not included in their curriculum and they hardly see any such case performed by their professors or during their training. So, how they learn? Mostly by watching videos on the internet and reading some literature specialized on the subject. Their training in hymenoplasty is completely sketchy and faulty. This is leading to an increased number of complications, via ethical, moral and social disasters on the part of plastic surgeons, leading ultimately to ruining of the hymens and disrupting lives of the patients.
