Along the last 40 years we have been witness of several important changes in our specialty. Some of them have modified not just techniques and/or indications for certain interventions, but our focusing concerning management of aging, including the necessity of combining procedures in order to get better results. Advent of tumescent anesthesia constituted a cornerstone in surgery.
