Ectropion and increased scleral show are frequent complications of lower lid blepharoplasty, mostly as a result of in-experience of the surgeon. Traditionally, correction of ectropion and increased scleral show has been done with the help of skin grafts and fascia-lata slings. The author has devised a simple technique of suture lift for correction of ectropion and for correction of increased scleral show as a result of congenital anamoly, previous blepharoplasty or patients with asymptomatic goitre with exophthalmos.
